YEREVAN(Noyan Tapan)–On December 21–the government of Armenia approved the provision of the Protocol on the establishment of an enterprise to produce chloreprene rubber in the People’s Republic of China signed on August 23–2000. The document says that both sides have arrived at the conclusion of setting up a joint venture to produce chloroprene rubber and latex on the basis of carbide acetylene within the Daton chemical complex. The Armenian side will provide information needed for designing and will solve scientific and technical problems–while the $130 million required for construction will be provided by the Chinese side.
