YEREVAN (AP)–Armenian customs agents seized 19 SA-10 (Igla) short-range anti-aircraft rockets–guns and ammunition from three Armenia’s who tried to smuggle weapons out of the country–the National Security Ministry said Saturday.
The customs officers discovered the weapons on Friday after stopping the three on the border between Armenia and Georgia. The anti-aircraft rockets–an automatic rifle–a pistol and a large quantity of ammunition were uncovered in a search of the men’s apartmen’s–garages and cars–said Armenak Manukian–a spokesman for the ministry.
