LOS ANGELES—The Armenian Improv group is at it again. The wacky, zany, madcap group that rocked the Whitefire Theatre last year is back again with some new shenanigans. The run opens on May 15 at the same venue and goes on until the end of June.

“We’re so excited we can’t wait,” says Vahe Berberian, whose company Wet Paint is behind the show. “The response was so incredible last time that we were overwhelmed. Every single show was sold out and the same people kept coming back, because every show is completely different from the previous one. And the best part is that it’s all in Armenian.”

The improv group is directed by Melissa Mazman, and the seven member cast comprises of Sako Berberian, Shahe Mankerian, Harout Soghomonian, Levon-Shant Demirjian, Chris Bedian, Kevo Manougian and Vahe Berberian. Joining the group with his musical talent is Ara Dabanjian.

“We have a few new exciting improv games this time and we’re having a lot of fun with music,” says Melissa. “The workshops have been sessions of self-discoveries. The guys were constantly surprising themselves as far as coming out with stories, characters and most of all skills they didn’t know they had.”

Armenian Improv 2 will run at the Whitefire Theatre (13500 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423).

9 Shows will be featured on Friday, May 15 and Sunday, May 17; Friday, May 22 and Sunday, May 24; Friday, May 29 and Sunday, May 31; Sunday, June 7; Sunday, June 14; and Sunday, June 21.

The shows will run Fridays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $30 on first come, first served seating. For info and tickets visit itsmyseat.com/improv or call (626) 869-7328.
