MONTEBELLO, Calif.—Armenian Mesrobian High School students and their teacher Haig Shahinian assembled a multimedia computer from parts this week for yearbook and video production, marking the growing emphasis the school is placing on STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics).
Shahinian is a 1998 graduate of Mesrobian High School with a computer science degree from the University of Southern California.
Mesrobian is redefining pedagogical approaches to help students develop the critical and analytical skills to prepare them for a rapidly evolving 21st century economy and careers that do not yet exist. The school is currently overhauling and enhancing its program of digital multi-media and creative technologies.
Proud parents of four successful Mesrobian alumni donated a sizeable sum earmarked specifically for the purpose of technology and curricular enhancements at Mesrobian School.
