LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif.—Ara Aslanian was voted the new president of the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge. Aslanian, the President of information technology company Inverselogic, is a graduate of La Cañada High School.
When he was asked to join the board in March of 2009, the decision came naturally. He is now beginning his second term on the board.
“I grew up in the community, so it was very important for me to get involved. I played sports on the [Foothill Intermediate School] fields, I’ve attended functions as a kid at the Community Center,” he said. “They thought a fresh younger board member might bring some energy and fresh ideas, and I was happy to oblige.”
Aslanian’s involvements with several non-profit organizations have given him great experience to fulfill his position at the center.
“I’ve been a part of several Armenian non-profit organizations such as the Homenetmen Boy Scouts and Armenia Fund, Inc. and I love giving back.”
Aslanian’s focus as president is to see the community center thrive and remain a place of enjoyment for the residents and youth of La Cañada.
