Sometimes we get a glimpse into the art of success. That’s what I felt when looking at pictures from Rose & Alex Pilibos’ Middle School Awards Ceremony. I felt touched, excited, and inspired! Please, let me share with you what I saw.

1.) The “I Am Pilibos” Award. This is “character education” in action. This award acknowledges students who take initiative to contribute to the well-being of the school and others, and who exhibit admirable character qualities while doing it. I am thrilled that Pilibos promotes traits of moral character (compassion, generosity, respect, integrity…), as well as performance character (effort, perseverance, diligence…)!
I was told that when the entire 7th grade received the “I Am Pilibos” award for having the motivation and drive to organize a school-benefiting fund-raiser, 6th grade students were up for the challenge and said they’d be getting one next. Awesome! Now that’s an education!

2.) LOVE. Take a look. You can’t miss it.
When you add genuine, shared love into an environment that promotes excellence in education, athletics, heritage awareness, and character, you add an indescribably powerful ingredient. With love comes confidence, relationship, fulfillment, motivation, compassion, and respect, for self and for others. I can clearly see that Pilibos’ students are being given much more than just awards.

To me, all these pictures are a testament to Pilibos’ commitment to the whole child and to the dimension it takes to raise a successful human being, in the deepest sense. Bravo! I suppose someone can look at these pictures and merely see a single day from the past. I look at them and I see an unparalleled tomorrow!
Amazing!! I long for this feeling of belonging and pride at every Armenian school. Bravo!!! Pilibos should be very proud indeed.
As a member of the first graduating class of Pilibos, I am so proud of my school. This is what made me a life long member of the Pilibos family. Dr. Dorian, you are an amazing force I. Theives of our kids and parents!!! We don’t just teach our students. We teach our community.
That’s the kind of education we can all be proud of! And by us, I don’t just mean Armenians, I mean all people. Keep it up, Pilibos!

This should be a lesson to all Armenian educational institutions. This is what you get when you put professionals (vs. people who are owed jobs) in the right positions of leadership. Good teachers, good principals, good infrastructure. Yep, well done students, Dr. Dorian and team, and the entire Pilibos community.
We love Dr. Dorian our Principal and we are grateful to have her!!!!
My two girls are about to complete their first year at Pilibos. Every day I see the love and support that is showered upon them by Dr Dorian, the teachers and even the students. The right leadership, coupled with good teachers and an environment that nurtures and encourages kids to reach for the stars. I and my kids are the lucky ones to be able to experience Pilibos in its current state.
