STEPANAKERT (ANIS)–The Nagorno-Karabakh Central Electoral Commission released the final report of the Sept. 1–presidential elections–containing the signatures of the 40 international observers–Thursday.
According to the report–the independent international observers arrived in Karabakh on Aug. 31–at which point they began working with various groups handling different aspects of the elections. The observers were stationed in Stepanakert–Askeran–Martakert–Hadrout–Marduni and Shoushi regions. In addition–the observers attended 45 precincts in the Republic and took part in the final count.
The observers called the elections free and fair–with well-organized and orderly preparations–as well as in accordance to the the elections code of Karabakh. According to the observers–there had been no violations detected or reported during the vote count.
In 171 precincts 84.4 percent of the voters took part in the elections. The final results released as an addendum to the report–were signed by the international monitors.
