YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–In the second half of Thursday–January 21 the average rate of 1 dollar reached 552 drams–which is 4-5 drams more than in previous days.
All attempts of the Central Bank to stop the fall of the Armenian dram have so far been unsuccessful.
Official data say–that since January the Central Bank has sold at least 7 million USD. However–in the last 20 days the dollar rate has gone up by almost 22 drams or 4.1 percent.
