Hertzberg’s Rapid Buildup of Key Endorsements Continues
VAN NUYS, Calif.— Kicking off the week with a new momentum-building endorsement, today Bob Hertzberg secured the support of the Southern California Armenian Democrats in his campaign for the State Senate.
In a letter sent to the Hertzberg for Senate campaign, David George Gevorkyan, President of the Southern California Armenian Democrats wrote:
“On behalf of the Southern California Armenian Democrats (SCAD), it is my distinct pleasure to inform you [Bob Hertzberg] that we have elected to publicly endorse your candidacy for California State Senate.
“The Southern California Armenian Democrats (SCAD) has evaluated your past history and track record on issues of interest to the Armenian-American community, Armenian Democrats, and democrats generally. We have considered your proposed plans on improving quality of life in the State of California, and based on that merit, we are proud to endorse you as our next State Senator. Please accept this letter as a public endorsement of your candidacy for California State Senate on behalf of Armenian Democrats.”
Hertzberg said he sincerely appreciated the endorsement, and noted that he plans to work closely with the Armenian Democrats and the broader Armenian-American community in his campaign for the State Senate and beyond.
“This is a really important endorsement in any campaign, but it’s particularly meaningful in this district, which has a significant Armenian-American population both in the San Fernando Valley and in the City of Burbank,” said Hertzberg. “Over the years, I’ve developed a strong working relationship with the Armenian-American community, and this endorsement underscores the fact that we will continue to be close partners in the months and years to come. I sincerely appreciate the support of the members of the Southern California Armenian Democrats.”
In addition to today’s announcement, Hertzberg has garnered widespread support for his State Senate bid.
Just last week, he scored coveted endorsements from the UA Local 761 Plumbers, Pipefitters and Welders; the Latin American Law Enforcement Association (LALEY); the California Police Chiefs Association; the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) Local 47; and the Utility Workers Union of America Local 132.
