SYDNEY–His Holiness Karekin I–Catholicos of all Armenia’s arrived in Melbourne–Australia Saturday where he delivered a special sermon at St Mary Armenian Apostolic Church.
In the evening–His Holiness was honored at a dinner at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The dinner was attended by clergy members–dignitaries and representatives of the Victorian State Government and Armenian community.
His Holiness delivered a sermon the following day at Saint John’s Church–where more than 800 local Armenia’s attended. Afterwards a special program was held in honor of the Catholicos’ visit.
His Holiness ended his trip to Melbourne by visiting the Premier of Victoria Jeff Kennett.
His Holiness left for Canberra to meet with the Prime Minister of Australia John Howard.
