YEREVAN–More than 650 scouts participating in the Homenetmen pan-Armenian jamboree visited Holy Etchmiadzin–where they were met by Bishop Paren Avetikyan and Archbishop Datev Sarkissian as His Holiness Karekin II–Catholicos of All Armenia’s was away. The scouts toured the cathedral and the grounds and participated in a program–during which a memento was handed to Bishop Avetikyan to deliver to the Catholicos. Later that day–the scouts–all in uniform–marched on Opera Square to Abovian Street to Republic Square in central Yerevan as passersby looked on.
