YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian artists began a series of charity performances–on Tuesday–in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the national liberation movement of Karabakh. The concerts will run through February 13.
As reported by the Ministry of Culture–Youth Affairs and Sports–Armenia will officially mark the anniversary on February 18-22.
Among events to be held are a march to Yerablur in tribute of martyred freedom fighters–and an exhibition of photos devoted to the history of the past ten years of Armenia and Karabakh.
The concerts will be performed for the benefit of wounded soldiers currently at the post-trauma and ministry hospitals in Yerevan. Concerts are scheduled to be held at Liberty Square. Celebrations will end in Etchmiadzin where a liturgy will be served in memory of the freedom fighters martyred in the past ten years.
