LACHIN, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic–A conference dedicated to the development of Lachin–Kashatagh–is scheduled to convene Thursday in the city of Berdzor organized by the Tufenkian Foundation.
Tufenkian Foundation Karabakh Director Antranig Kasbarian said in an interview with Karabakh radio that more than 40 organizations from Armenia and the Diaspora will be represented at the conference. Armenian Relief Society Central Executive chairwoman Hasmig Derderian will be among the participants.
Kasbarian was joined by Deputy Director Armen Sargsyan, the former Karabakh Minister of Culture, at a meeting with Nagorno-Karabakh Republic President Bako Sahakian, the presidential office reported.
Sahakian commended his guests and the Tufenkian Foundation for undertaking this project and other development/resettlement efforts in Karabakh and highlighted the importance of such projects for the advancement and development of statehood.
Sahakian pledged his government’s support for the project.
