Russia on Thursday called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to strictly adhere to the November 9 and January 11 agreements signed by the leaders of the three countries, instead of discussing new approaches to the resolution of the situation.
“Unfortunately, fundamental disagreements over political issues [between Armenia and Azerbaijan] are still continuing,” said Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on Thursday during a press briefing.
“Therefore, at this stage, Moscow considers it necessary to strictly adhere to all the provisions of the trilateral agreements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021,” explained Zakharova, adding that Russia hopes that by fulfilling the aforementioned agreements “will create the conditions for normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan ties.”
“We are closely following the ongoing discussions in Armenia and Azerbaijan on the signing of a peace treaty between the two countries and on the clarification of the Nagorno Karabakh status,” said Zakharova.
“. . . normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan ties.”, Zakharova? Like between Yeshua and Lucifer? That would be the greatest of all stretches.
