GLENDALE–The Western Regional Executive of the Homenetmen Armenian General Athletic Union and Scouting announced Wednesday that the 24th Navasartian closing ceremonies–games–festival and victory ball have been postponed in observance of the 40-day mourning period announced following the passing of His Holiness Karekin I–Catholicos of All Armenia’s.
In his youth–the Catholicos was an active member of the Homenetmen and his passing is a great loss to the Homenetmen community and the entire Armenian nation–the announcement said.
