
STEPANAKERT—On September 24, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, attended the opening ceremony of the Republican Medical Center’s new building complex, the presidential press service reports.
The President asserted in his remarks that the work of the state’s central medical institution will give substantial new impetus to health care development in Artsakh; to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases.
Bako Sahakyan thanked national philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan for constructing the new complex of the Republican Medical Center, stressing that it is a sublime manifestation of patriotism and devotion to his people.
The Vice President of the Republic of Atrsakh Arkady Ghoukasyan, Armenia National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, First Lady of Armenia Rita Sarkisian, Primate of the Artsakh diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, speaker of Artsakh National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan, Artsakh Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan, member of the British House of Lords Baroness Caroline Cox, officials from Artsakh and Armenia, and numerous foreign guests attended the ceremony.
