MONTREAL–Noted educator–writer and theater director Nvart Tiryakian passed away Friday at Montreal Sacre Coeure hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday at Sourp Hagop Armenian Church in Montreal.
Teryakian was born in 1910 in Istanbul. She was the daughter of the famed Hratch Tiryakian who was influential in the 1896 seizure of the Ottoman Bank by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation under the leadership of Armen Garo.
