YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The only female colonel of the National Army of Armenia Nazik Amirian received an honorary professor’s diploma from the Nurse Institute College. The awarding ceremony took place March 14 as part of the Conference on Charity. The heroine of the Artsakh war was distinguished for her outstanding service to the Motherland. Nagorno Karabakh Republic Migration Department representative Nelli Voskanian thanked Amirian for her charity and courage–displayed in battlefields and hospitals. "It isn’t a mere document for me–rather it is an acknowledgment and an obligation," said Amirian.
The speakers at the conference focused on charity in Armenia–particularly the problem of fatherless children.
