YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A meeting of the OSCE Minsk group co-chairmen’scheduled for February 4 in Paris was postponed–Baku-based ANS-press news agency reported.
The same source reported that some analysts believe the postponement was caused by the political situation in Armenia and resignation of Foreign Minister Alexander Arzoumanian which was not yet accepted by Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
The United States Embassy in Armenia reported that the meeting of the Minsk group co-chairmen was put off because Levon Ter-Petrosyan would not attend it. Meanwhile–Ter-Petrosyan’s press service reported that he "was not supposed to attend it."
US–French and Russian top-ranking diplomats were to work out mechanisms of further negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
