YEREVAN (Armenpress)–On March 7 Armenian President Robert Kocharian met with Joel Boudroi–the new UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia–who handed the president a message from UN Secretary General Koffi Anan.
President Kocharian described the already ten-year long cooperation between the UN and Armenia as "active and efficient."
For his part–Boudroi assessed the pace of democratic reforms in Armenia as positive. He said the UN Armenia office will continue its constructive activity in Armenia and is willing to assist the Armenian government to implement poverty-reduction programs.
