In a statement issued Thursday–Western Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian and the joint meeting of the Prelacy Religious and Executive council announce that Rev. Vahan Gosdanian was appointed as the parish priest and dean of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in Fresno.
"Thus–the Dean of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Fresno–Right Rev. Muron Aznigian will return to Antelias at the request of the Catholicos," the announcement read.
The prelacy also stated that since Right Rev. Aznigian’s term had ended and following discussions with the proper boards of trustees–the joint meeting–under the leadership of Bishop Mardirossian–appointed Pasadena parish priest Rev. Gosdanian to lead the parish at Fresno’s Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
"On this occasion–Western Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian and the joint meeting wish the dean of the Holy Trinity Armenian Cathedral in Fresno–Right Rev. Muron Aznigian the best of luck in his future endeavors," said the announcement.
"We are certain that the reverend will continue his religious mission within the Fresno community–with the same vigor and meticulousness–and will assist in flourishing of our people’s spiritual and national life," the announcement continued.
"We wish the reverend the best of luck on his new mission and position," concluded the announcement.
