TEHRAN (Noyan Tapan)–According to IRNA–the Russian ITERA and Gasprom companies have expressed their desire to take part in the proposed construction of the gas pipeline between Armenia and Iran. Plans for the construction of the pipeline–which would allow Armenia to import up to 1 billion cubic meters of gas annually–are being made between the Armenia Energy Ministry and the National Gas Company of Iran. The Russian companies stated their readiness to invest in the project during a meeting in Moscow on Monday.
