TORONTO–The Armenian Relief Society school in Toronto held its annual fund-raising gathering on February 23 at the Armenian Center–during which more than 400 community members gathered to support the Armenian school–which includes pre-school–elementary and middle school classes.
In his remarks–principal Raffi Doudaklian enumerated the school’s accomplishmen’s–among them the addition of ninth grade to the school.
He also announced that within the next three years–the school will also house a high school. The expansion is expected to occur through the addition of one grade each year–until the completion of the high school.
This decision was welcomed by the attendees and at the end of the evening more than $169,000 (CAN) was raised for the school.
