YEREVAN (Armenpress)–An Azeri newspaper wrote that the number of those in Turkey who are in favor of establishing diplomatic and economic relations with Armenia continues to grow.
A story in Azadlig daily–entitled ‘If Turkish-Armenian Doors Open’ says "if Ankara declares that it will not open borders with Armenia unless Azerbaijani occupied territories are liberated–it does not mean that Ankara does not want to discuss this issue with Yerevan. The same is true with president Aliyev who is holding discussions with president Kocharian though the occupied territories have not been liberated. Besides–political circles in Azerbaijan are discussing the possibility of laying oil-pipelines through the Armenian territory.
The paper writes that the recent visit of Aliyev to Turkey focused not only on Baku-Ceyhan pipe-line but also on peace and cooperation issues in the Southern Caucasus.
