YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Several Armenian schools as well as the churches of Saint Gevorg and Saint Echmiadzin were damaged as a result of an earthquake–which shook Tbilisi April 25.
The Armenian State Petros Adamian Dramatical Theater–a single hearth of Armenian culture in Tbilisi–was damaged to a degree that questions its further operation. "Taking into consideration the role of this cultural hearth in the life of Armenia’s of Georgia–we ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to render assistance – to consider the possibilities of aid," a letter from the embassy reads.
The visit of a special Armenian delegation to Georgia was covered in detail by almost all Georgia TV channels–and the interviews with the Armenian ambassador and members of the delegation were broadcasted. The main point stressed in the programs was the fact that Armenia was the first country that aided Georgia after the earthquake.
