ENNISKILLEN, Northern Ireland—Presidents of the US, France and Russia, Barack Obama, Francois Hollande and Vladimir Putin, as heads of states of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries, issued a joint statement Tuesday regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution process.
Below is the text of the statement:
Joint Statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict by Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Franсois Hollande, President of the French Republic
We, the Presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries – France, the Russian Federation, and the United States of America – remain committed to helping the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict reach a lasting and peaceful settlement. We express our deep regret that, rather than trying to find a solution based upon mutual interests, the parties have continued to seek one-sided advantage in the negotiation process.
We continue to firmly believe that the elements outlined in the statements of our countries over the last four years must be the foundation of any fair and lasting settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. These elements should be seen as an integrated whole, as any attempt to select some elements over others would make it impossible to achieve a balanced solution.
We reiterate that only a negotiated settlement can lead to peace, stability, and reconciliation, opening opportunities for regional development and cooperation. The use of military force that has already created the current situation of confrontation and instability will not resolve the conflict. A renewal of hostilities would be disastrous for the population of the region, resulting in loss of life, more destruction, additional refugees, and enormous financial costs. We strongly urge the leaders of all the sides to recommit to the Helsinki principles, particularly those relating to the non-use of force or the threat of force, territorial integrity, and equal rights and self-determination of peoples. We also appeal to them to refrain from any actions or rhetoric that could raise tension in the region and lead to escalation of the conflict. The leaders should prepare their people for peace, not war.
Our countries stand ready to assist the sides, but the responsibility for putting an end to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains with them. We strongly believe that further delay in reaching a balanced agreement on the framework for a comprehensive peace is unacceptable, and urge the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia to focus with renewed energy on the issues that remain unresolved.
Only another war can be a final solution !
Karabagh is Armenia. There is only one way of reaching a lasting settlement and this is for Armenians to live safe and in peace in their own lands thank you! Why haven’t these leaders condemned Azeris for their. relentless violation of ceasefire and endless threats by Aliyev et al. Or is it because in the absence of finding a solution for Syria, they think they can bully Armenia? Do we want further destruction of our homeland and culture? Perhaps these leaders should watch the video clip where Azeris are breaking to complete destruction the unique and beautiful khachkars. These people should ask themselves who gave these beautiful lands to the Azeris? We all know it was Stalin – that great monster of history. Come on lets play just this time and keep your hands of Armenian lands!
Coupling Self Determination with Equal Rights is not acceptable. SD is not a part of Equal Rights. It was precisely the lack of equal treatment that triggered demands for SD in Artsakh. This statement will remain meaningless, because none of these countries have attached a price on Azeri bellicosity over the last five years. It is meaningless and will not lead to any changes on the ground, barring a change of government in Baku.
Interesting choice of venue to issue a statement on Artsakh considering the history of that locale. Are they trying to hint at something or scare Armenia into submission to their demands? If that is the case, BP kiss your pipelines goodbye.
blah, blah, blah.
Helsinki principles is self contradictory.
How can you reconcile two opposing principles of self-determination and territorial integrity.
So if a despot like Stalin gives away one’s territory arbitrarily, do we have to suffer the consequences for eternity.
Artshakh is ours. Period. So is Nakhitchevan and Javakh and so is Western Armenia.
No power in the world, no principles and documents in the world, no treaties in the world will change that.
No nation can dictate our rights. The thousands of churches in those territories are evidence even they destroy them they can not destroy the photographs and the history behind the churches. There were thousands of Armenians around each church. that is the significance of our churches. They are the evidence of our presence on those lands.
Mr. Obama, do you understand. Next time you have Armenian coffee with your dictator buddy, Erdogan, just remind him about what our churches mean to the Armenian Nation and the world.
Barack, Francois, and Vladimir strengthen their lost energies with Green Irish Whiskey!!
Check the pulse, start flying to Karabagh Airport

Blah Blah Blah you are on your own Blah Blah Blah that’s all i read
President obama has refused to utter the word genocide. He has cut usad to armenia . He has personally stopped the us supreme court fro hearing the case against the german banks and others who refused to pay armenians their rightful share on insurance policy. French presidents always do what they are told by Israel.
Each of these presidents has evil baggage aginst armenian rights and baggage. Heaven help Karabagh lets remember when when the azeri’s were throwing helpless unsuspecting armenians out 3rd story windows in azerbaijan and killing armenian patients in hospitals and disabled institutions the only thing the USA did was to cover up the ethnic cleansing was to send reporters to cover up the atrocities occuring and to send observers to spopt armenians and aid the azeri,s into better shots. Russia in collaboration went in to rescue Jews who under the guise of being armenian were flown through russia and into glendale/burbank california. no one helped armenians whether in azerbaijan or karabach . this is a shamful plan these presidents are about to leash.
Only Armenia and azerbaturk can solve the problem, the others keep out, including jerky turkey.Without sincerity and honesty, the solution cannot be resolved. The above four, setting the tone,is complete travesty,of the issue.
