The foreign ministers of Armenia and Artsakh, Ararat Mirzoyan and David Babayan, during a phone call on Friday, emphasized the need to resume Karabakh peace talks, reported Armenia’s Foreign Ministry.
The two top diplomats said the need for a comprehensive settlement of the Karabakh conflict mediate by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs.
They also condemned the continue military attacks by the Azerbaijani armed forces along the borders of Armenia and Artsakh, which, they said, poses a serious threat to the security and stability of the region.
The current situation which has stemmed from the Azerbaijani and Turkish aggression unleashed on Artsakh last year, was also discussed, as were ways to stem the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.
Mirzoyan and Babayan underscored the importance of furthering cooperation between the two foreign ministries and holding regular consultations.
