STEPANAKERT (ArmRadio)–The Hayastan All-Armenia Fun will be opening a permanent headquarters next month in the capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic to streamline the management of its development programs in the mountainous republic, its Executive Director, Ara Vardanyan said Wednesday.
“A permanent office in Stepanakert will undoubtedly ensure a more efficient project and resource management,” said Vardanyan, who is in Karabakh on a three-day working visit alongside Armenia Fund Western US Executive Director Sarkis Kotanjian.
“It is altogether logical that an office is being established in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic,” Kotanjian said. “It’s in line with the overall strategy of the "Hayastan All Armenian Fund to always improve construction management and quality control measures,” Kotanjian said.
While in Stepanakert, the two met with Nagorno-Karabakh President Bako Sahakian, Prime-Minister Araik Harutyunyan, and Urban Development Minister Anahit Vardanyan for talks on the official opening of the Fund’s office. The office will be located in the Government building and headed by Valeri Ghazaryan.
Current projects and future activities were also discussed during the meeting, which was followed by a visit to Stepanakert School N11, currently under construction as part of an Armenia Fund program.
