YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– Speaker of the National Assembly Khosrov Haroutiunian had a telephone conversation Thursday with his Georgian counterpart Zurab Zhvania.
Zhvania showed interest in the parliamentary elections in Armenia and expressed optimism that the effective Armenian-Georgian interparliamentary cooperation will be continued in the future as well. He stressed Haroutiunian’s role in the development of relations between Armenia and Georgia and thanked him for his cooperation.
Haroutiunian stressed that the free and democratic character of the parliamentary elections in Armenia–are a sign of social and political improvement in the region. Haroutiunian also wished prosperity to the Georgian people.
